We put ourselves to the challenge of building a Trust, but with Web3 Technology.
The problem Real World Finance solves
In a trust, beneficiaries possess beneficial interests that often lack liquidity. With this system, they will be allocated tokens, as we tokenize the Trust assets, significantly enhancing their ability to easily trade these interests on the market.
Challenges we ran into
We had our fair share of fun with integer math in Solidity, like for example calculating percentages, etc. with exponentiation (fixed point math).
Also because of the huge numbers, testing and validating that everything was correct was interesting hehe.
We also ran out of constructor stack space in Solidity and had to rearrange the code a bit to fit (less parameters in the constructor and more setters).
scaffold-eth-2 didn’t work in the optimized build mode required for a deployment.
This was our first time building smart contracts. So it was a lot of fun navigating solidity, the blockchain and all the infrastructure surrounding web3. A neverending discovery journey.
