The problem ReadON solves
ReadON is a decentralized content platform (with 100k users) that aims to build the largest decentralized content distribution engine, help users to discover high-quality content efficiently, and overcome the information cocoon problem brought about by traditional social media. To achieve this goal, we have carefully designed a novel incentive strategy for content creators, curators and consumers along with a topic-bond NFT system. Meanwhile, the viral effect of content sharing and large reading population will naturally introduce more users to Web3 through ReadON.
People can use ReadON's decentralized bullet chat and tipping function to engage with content creators, send digital currency rewards, and support them directly without the intervention of centralized platforms. This provides a more secure and transparent environment for content creators and their fans. User data is stored on a decentralized network, and transactions are conducted using blockchain technology, increasing transaction security and reducing the risks of fraud and malicious behavior.
Furthermore, tipping incentivizes creators to create more valuable content, which leads to higher levels of user engagement, and enhances the value of communication, improving the overall quality of the content creators offer. The tipping function also provides a means for Web2 creators to receive compensation for their content, encouraging integration into the world of cryptocurrencies and providing a gateway to Web3.
Overall, ReadON's decentralized bullet chat and tipping function enables more direct and efficient communication between content creators and their fans and provides creators with a more transparent and fair method of compensation, fostering a positive cycle of healthy development in the content creation industry.
Challenges I ran into
- How to make a decentralized on-chain ID?
ReadON is a blockchain-based personalized news recommendation platform, which utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to provide customized news content to its users. However, due to the fact that traditional personalization algorithms can only rely on users' past behavioral data for prediction, it is difficult to realize true personalized recommendations that consider users' interests, social relationships and networks.
To solve this problem, ReadON chooses to adopt the Soulbound NFT (SBT) technology to achieve a more refined personalization. Specifically, ReadON will create a unique NFT tied to each user's digital wallet or account, representing their personalized interests, reading preferences, and social networks.
The Soulbound NFT-based push system has the following advantages: - Refined personalized recommendations: By analyzing users' social networks and NFT holdings, ReadON can gain a more accurate understanding of their interests and reading preferences, and recommend news content that better meets their needs.
- Social reading: The NFTs held by users will represent other users in their social networks, and the interests and reading preferences of these users will also influence users' personalized recommendations. Therefore, users can expand their social networks and obtain more comprehensive and accurate recommendations by holding different NFTs.
