The problem RapidAid – Smart Emergency Response App solves
Women during unsafe or panic situations, In many real-life emergency , Making a phone call or Typing a message is not possible
Rapid Aid solves this problem by providing a Single-tap SOS feature when the SOS button is pressed the app automatically captures the users' real-time live location
and shares it with emergency contacts. The system is optimized for speed , simplicity, and reliability, ensuring that help can be reached as quickly as possible
The application focuses on minimal user interaction, making it effective even in high-stress situations.
The Rapid Aid Safety SOS aims to provide a particle & accessible safety solution using modern mobile techniques .
Challenges we ran into
During development, we faced challenges with real-time data handling and live location sharing. Managing permissions and ensuring accurate location updates during SOS events was initially difficult. We resolved this by properly handling runtime permissions, optimizing Firebase Realtime Database structure, and thoroughly testing the SOS workflow. UI alignment and responsiveness across devices was another challenge, which we fixed through multiple UI iterations and testing.
