Raise.win

Where traders become tokens. Raise is the first tokenized copy trading protocol.

The problem Raise.win solves

Raise makes copy trading less risky by abstracting the vehicle for copying trades into a token. In traditional copy trading, one bad trade from someone you're following can ruin your portfolio. Our tokens track the overall performance of a trader and are, in part, subject to market dynamics, making them a safer option for following traders.
Furthermore, fees from the trading of the tokens go toward funding a special smart wallet issued to the trader. This funding dynamic, along with the smart wallet, not only provides capital to traders but also aligns incentives so that traders do not honeypot or rug their followers. The funding rate is dynamic and can be adjusted based on trader performance—for example, a good trader may take a 10% fee, while a bad trader has a 0.01% fee.
Overall, our intention is to build something similar to an ETF for copy traders.

User Interaction and Data Flow

Users log into the app with a Privy wallet. They can log in using either an embedded wallet or MetaMask. They then look up a trader's Twitter profile, and if the trader has not already claimed their profile/wallet, the user can create a wallet for them and initialize their token.
Once the token has been initialized, users can begin trading that trader's token on a bonding curve. Fees generated from trading will fund the trader's Raise wallet. The trader, using their X account, can claim their profile/wallet at any time and claim any fees generated for them.
Once claimed, the trader can start trading perps on the Jojo exchange or tokens on Uniswap V3. When the trader makes a profitable trade, an automatic buyback of the trader's token is initiated, using a percentage of the profit generated by the trader. The buyback percentage can be customized from 10% to 90%. The remaining profit is kept by the trader and the protocol.

The project architecture and development process

Raise.win is built as a web app using Next.js. The entire backend is hosted on Solidity smart contracts deployed on the Base chain. The rest of the app consists of a basic TypeScript frontend.
We chose to deploy on Base due to a combination of low gas fees and the existing DeFi protocols on the network. These protocols allow Raise traders to trade over 22 different assets for perpetuals, as well as almost all of the blue-chip tokens deployed on the Base network.
The app itself is hosted on Vercel.

Product Integrations

Our key integration is with the X api, which we use to allow people on the protocol to search traders by their X accounts.

Key differentiators and uniqueness of the project

While many decentralized copy trading protocols exist, Raise is the first copy trading model that uses a token to explicitly track traders, as opposed to a copy trading vault where users deposit funds.
It should be noted that Raise can also be used with AI agents. The closest existing protocols to Raise.win are DAO launchpads like Daos.world or Daos.fun. However, DAO launchpads typically deliver the trader's carry fee after a lock period—in other words, profits are distributed at the end of the DAO’s lifecycle.
With Raise.win, traders profit immediately after every trade with no lockup, as funds from token sales are deposited into their wallets right away. Token holders also profit immediately due to buybacks.

Trade-offs and shortcuts while building

The claiming functionality needs to be improved by implementing an admin wallet. Currently, that wallet is centralized and controlled by one person, making it easily exploitable. We plan to change this in the future.

Second, we initially wanted to include NFTs as an optional asset for traders to buy on Raise with their Raise wallets. However, due to time constraints, we decided to forgo this in favor of perpetual futures. Our reasoning is that futures are more common among day traders, and Raise.win is intended as an intraday trading platform.

Lastly, the platform is not optimized for speed, and loading times are tedious.

Additional Features

If we had more time, we would build a follow wallet feature, where trader EOAs could be followed permissionlessly by the Raise wallet.

Unfortunately, implementing this system comes with many security risks and misaligned incentives, making it a challenging build.
