Challenges I ran into
During development of Rainbow Hop Challenge On Base, a few hurdles came up:
- ⚙️ Blockchain Integration – Connecting Unity with Base through Thirdweb SDK required careful setup to ensure smooth wallet connection and contract calls.
- 🎮 Gameplay Sync with On-Chain Data – Balancing fast-paced arcade gameplay with Web3 mechanics like NFT checks and token claims was tricky.
- 🐞 WebGL Build Issues – Exporting the Unity project to WebGL while keeping wallet functionality stable took multiple rounds of testing.
✅ By iterating quickly, using Thirdweb’s clear documentation, and leveraging Base’s speed and low-cost transactions, these issues were resolved and the game became both fun and blockchain-ready.
