The problem RA Watt - Solar Output Predictor solves

Our solution makes solar energy estimation more accessible and less intimidating to common people. People can use the app for free to understand how much energy they could have produced in the past or produce in the future, thus encouraging more people to adopting solar energy.

Challenges we ran into

• Our first biggest hurdle was that we were too dependant on external APIs to calculate the variables used in our formula like atmospheric pressure, irradiation, etc which wasn't flexible and also slowed down our application significantly. We overcame this issue by studying the underlying concepts and writing our own alogirithms to compute the variables.
• We faced several problems during hosting like complexity and unresponsiveness. After considering different hosting platforms for our backend server, we decided to use Replit which was intuitive to use, and even their free trier was blazing fast for our requirements.
