Qliq: Bringing Web3 Ads to Life Through Blockchain and NFTs
The problem Qliq solves
Qliq addresses the challenges of irrelevant advertising and ineffective monetization in the Web3 space. Traditional advertising models fail to leverage the unique characteristics of Web3, where user interests and identity are represented by NFTs. Qliq bridges this gap by using NFTs to accurately map users' digital identities, allowing advertisers to target audiences based on their specific NFT collections. This ensures that ads are relevant, personalized, and aligned with the interests of users. At the same time, Qliq empowers independent Web3 content creators to monetize their platforms with targeted, Web3-centric ads, turning free content into a revenue-generating asset.
Challenges we ran into
During the development of Qliq, we encountered several technical challenges, but we were able to address most of them and make significant progress. Here’s a breakdown of the challenges and our current status:
Web3 RPC Provider Compatibility:
We faced issues with the Web3 RPC provider not being compatible with Ethers.js version 6, which affected blockchain interactions. After troubleshooting, we downgraded to a compatible version of Ethers.js, ensuring stable functionality.
Accessing NFT Data from User Wallets:
Extracting and mapping NFT data from users' wallets was tricky, but we overcame discrepancies in wallet and blockchain API responses. We now successfully retrieve and analyze NFT collections to map user profiles accurately.
Accessing IPFS Data Using CIDs:
We encountered latency issues while fetching IPFS data using Content Identifiers (CIDs). After refining the process, we now access IPFS content quickly and reliably.
Okto Integration:
As part of our expansion, we are currently integrating Okto for blockchain transaction payments via SMS. This feature is in development, and we’ve successfully tested the initial stages of SMS-based wallet transactions.
