The problem QueueLens solves
QueueLens is designed to help hospitals,clinics,and diagnostic centers manage real time patient flow more intelligently. Patients can use it to check the live queue, Book appointments and check token status,doctor availability,and estimated waiting time from their phone without standing in crowd heavy areas. Doctors and hospital staff use QueueLens to manage tokens,update availability and streamline patient handling with better visibility and fewer manual interventions.The system ensures everyone involved patients, nurses, and doctors gets accurate, instant information to make better decisions.
Challenges we ran into
We initially used Supabase, but we ran into challenges managing backend logic, authentication, and ensuring smooth real-time syncing across our dashboards. These issues slowed development during the hackathon.To move faster we switched to Firebase, which let us handle database operations, authentication, and real time updates directly from the frontend without building a separate backend. This made features like live queue updates and doctor availability much easier to implement and helped us deliver a stable MVP quickly.
