The problem QGIS Analysis solves

The aim of the project was to analyse the development opportunities and the problems faced by the State Transport facility of Sinnar Taluka, Nashik District. We as a team, worked with Google Earth, QGIS 3.4.13 and PostGIS extension in PostgreSQL 12. The development opportunities were analysed taking into consideration factors like census data, bus fares, type of routes (profitable, non-profitable), peak hours,etc. The data was presented using QGIS layer mapping and running SQL queries on the collected data. This internship is in tie up with IIT-Bombay.

Challenges I ran into

Collection of data for the project was a difficult task, as certain data was to be extracted from Google Earth while the rest from the Bus depot. After the collection, the useful attributes were to be identified. Aparth from this, the field trip rthat was taken for the user survey was a huge challenge as framing the survey questions and interacting with the customers as well as the depot manager and verifying the collected data was to be done on the field visit.
