The problem ProxiVision solves

Many people feel difficult to live with vision impairment. For those who are blind, navigating new environments is one of the biggest problems. Blind people may have trouble reading signs, identifying things, or identifying landmarks that would allow them to go from one area to another. Fortunately, technological developments have sparked the creation of creative solutions intended to enhance the quality of life for those who are blind. An app that employs image captions to describe the environment for blind individuals is our proposed solution. With the help of this software, visually challenged people may snap a photo of their surroundings and hear an audio description of what's there. The blind may traverse unfamiliar environments with increased assurance, independence, and safety thanks to this software.

Challenges we ran into

1. Huge Datasets which consumed most of our time.
2. Not enough processing power to be able to pre-process and train our model
3. Slow internet access
4. Ran into libraries we have not handled before
