Proliferating Nouns culture IRL - Onchain using real life activations and community engagement
The problem Pronouns solves
Onboarding people onchain cannot just be done online,we need physical activation events and practical workshops, over the years my community has been absent from the Crypto world and haven't had any form of onboarding event, this is a big problem because it makes my community youths still do things the old way, i used onchain summer as a game changer to solve this issue by hosting a workshop event where people who haven't heard about crypto and Nfts got onboarded and we taught them how to make real world impact with Nfts for charity funding projects, how we can make inclusive governance a thing by activating Pronouns DAO which we will use to discuss our community needs, make delegations on community projects what to build or fund, that is the power of decentralization,no rights reserved! we also had over 65 people install the coinbase wallet which we used to mint the event POAP, and also showed people how to easily send and receive crypto because this is a big challenge in my community, most families have challenges receiving or sending money from their abroad relatives, with the coinbase swift Ux they where able to understand how crypto works basically without the hassle of seed phrase.
We also said some GM to our offline community using our language to communicate public goods, what a DAO means and why we are building one, after the outreach we gave some nounish breakfast to the less previledged on the streets, all outreach proof photos attached.
Challenges I ran into
The onboarding process was not so easy, because 80% of attendees are newbies and haven't used crypto or Nfts before, but thanks to the Coinbase wallet the user experience helped us make the process very clear without hassel of seed phrase and backup which is always a nightmare.
Also when we where having a practical session of setting up our community DAO it was not so easy for some who are used to authoritherian system of decison making but with NounsDAO DOCS and my experience as a DAO member, we helped people understand that decision making is inclusive and everyone can make an impact.
