The problem PRONAGO solves

A majority of the people who live in India use foreign goods in their daily lives. This results in them contributing to the economy of other countries rather than their own country, India. A major factor contributing to this problem is the unawareness among people about local Indian alternatives that they can use in their daily lives. Moreover the Covid-19 pandemic has led to a decline in the growth of local companies. ​Our website will help people identify the brands that are actually contributing to this movement by consuming only Indian goods, whilst giving an edge and a platform to the local startups and emerging business ventures.

Challenges we ran into

Since we are first year students and this is our first hackathon, we did face many problems . Firstly we had to learn front- end and back-end in a very short span of time and we had no prior knowledge. So we all started learning from the youtube. We got stuck while learning Django and trying to use it, but immediately we switched to PHP for the back-end part of our website. We also got introduced to the API's to implement live chat box.
