The problem Project Name - Hunger Eradication solves
According to the global hunger index India ranks the 101 position; standing firm with 27.5% of country's population is hungry at the real time. The Hunger Legions is an initiative of a dedicated group of people working together to yield food for the vulnerable people.
Hunger Legions, the warriors for hunger- The warriors who work for filling up empty stomachs, irrespective of their pockets.
Eating is a basicity, and food should be accessible to every individual. We aim to go beyond that supplying love, smiles and satisfiability in small packets of food.
Over 25 lakh Indian die of hunger every year and 'The Hunger Legions' is trying to mitigate the number to '0'.
We navigate the extra food in an area and make sure it is'nt wasted and is going in a stomach rather than a drain.
We'll be tying up with various restaurants and food hubs, which will be helping us in this revolution we initiate and no soul is sleeping hungry.
They will let us know whenever there's some extra food in there regime and we go out to reconnaissance for needy people and supply them the grains they've been starving for. If you can't feed a hundred people, feed just one- Mother Teresa and we're trying to reach to the roots of every area and trying to spread humanity globally.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge in executing our initiative was mainly how to differentiate between the real needy and the fake one as in india the
mentality is to take excess of free things so we have to tackle that problem also and if they are real needy then also they try to take more food than necessary for themselves. And also if they are not real needy then also some people act
like they are the real needy for getting free food . And money was also a very big issue as we are also providing employement so we need many people that are willing to help for this good cause
and we face real difficulty in finding the sponsors ,so we needed o bunch of people that are willing to donate anything whether it be the delivery without taking money or they can help through giving money .We faced a real issue in connecting
restaurants which are willing to give there excess food and also the supply from a small number of restaurants were limited and is also not regular .there were also difficulty finding delivery men as all of them need money
and we as a startup were facing problems in raising funds and also this is a non profit start up and we need as many people which were happy doing this service volunterly. We also find it hard to to manage all the restaurants and delivery
agent so there was very tough time to manage all that because here is a lot of data which is to be executed and which require fast action and also our action were expected to perform which great accuracy so we have to sharpen that part of
skillset . We also faced difficulty in finding the location of a small group of needy people because if we give food to the large organisations like dosshouses, orphanages etc then all of the
needy people like sleeping on footpath ,begging on red light are skipped so we have to see that in helping the mass we don't skip the individuals .
