The problem Project Hive solves

The online integrated platform for projects taken up by the students of various universities/colleges solves the critical problem of a lack of a centralized and accessible knowledge platform for innovative student projects in India. Currently, students and faculty members face difficulties in showcasing their projects to potential investors, mentors, or employers due to the lack of a common knowledge platform. This platform solves this problem by providing a comprehensive and collaborative space for students to upload their projects and connect with other students and faculty members across the country. It also enables peer learning and cross-functional research, promoting academic excellence and bridging the gap between academia and industry. It also provides a platform for recruiters to explore talented candidates. With our platform, students can gain valuable exposure, build their networks, and take the first steps towards a successful career in their chosen field. By providing features such as feedback and ratings, messaging and networking, job postings, events and competitions, resources and tutorials, and analytics and insights, this platform empowers students to showcase their work and improve their skills, ultimately leading to more innovative and successful projects.

Challenges we ran into

1. Ideation Process: It was challenging to choose among various problem statements, research what has already been developed and what is required in the current generation and come up with a unique solution.
2. Lack of Experience: We didn’t have any prior experience with designing UI so we struggled with that. We did not have the necessary expertise or knowledge to develop their ideas. Additionally, we found it challenging to turn our ideas into a functional prototype.
3. Staying original: With many people working on similar problems, it can be challenging to come up with a unique idea that hasn't been done before. We had to be creative and think outside the box to come up with fresh ideas that have a real impact.
4. Effective Communication: Effective communication and collaboration with team members is required in developing strong ideas. We faced challenges while working on the UI, as different people may have different thought processes.
