The problem Project E-Vault solves

Project E-Vault can be used by the general citizen, police and people from the judicial system of our country namely lawyers and judges. This blockchain-based eVault system for legal records that can ensure security, transparency, and accessibility for all stakeholders. Project E-Vault ensures enhanced security by leveraging blockchain technology to maintain the immutability and integrity of legal records, thereby minimizing the risk of unauthorized access, tampering, or data loss. It incorporates robust encryption and authentication mechanisms to uphold the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information. Additionally, the platform streamlines record management through automation of storage, retrieval, and sharing processes, reducing the time and effort associated with manual tasks. By seamlessly integrating with existing legal databases and case management systems, it enables efficient data synchronization and eliminates redundancy. Furthermore, Project E-Vault improves accessibility by offering user-friendly interfaces tailored to the needs of lawyers, judges, clients, and other stakeholders, facilitating widespread adoption and usability. Through secure online portals or mobile applications, it allows for anytime, anywhere access to legal records, enhancing convenience and flexibility in legal proceedings.

Challenges we ran into

During the development of Project E-Vault, I encountered challenges related to drafting the smart contract and optimizing data structures using Solidity. Ensuring the efficiency and security of the smart contract posed initial hurdles, requiring thorough testing and iteration to achieve the desired functionality while adhering to best practices. Additionally, implementing the IPFS - Pinata uploading feature proved to be challenging due to cost considerations and technical complexities. To overcome these obstacles, I conducted extensive research, sought guidance from experienced developers, and leveraged online resources and documentation. By experimenting with different approaches and refining the implementation iteratively, I was able to resolve the issues and ensure the smooth operation of the smart contract and IPFS integration within Project E-Vault.
