The problem Predict -X solves
Siloed Prediction Markets
Traditional platforms are locked within single blockchains, limiting liquidity, participation, and interoperability across ecosystems.
Complex User Experience
Users need to manage multiple wallets and bridges manually, which creates friction and discourages widespread adoption.
Lack of High-Impact Prediction Focus
Many platforms center around trivial topics rather than meaningful, globally significant questions (e.g. climate, elections, health crises).
Security & Integrity Challenges
Centralized or poorly designed platforms are vulnerable to manipulation, fake accounts, and sybil attacks, undermining trust.
High Barriers to Entry
Technical complexity, unclear UX, and unclear incentives discourage new users from joining or contributing.
Challenges I ran into
Cross-Chain Communication Complexity
Designing a seamless cross-chain user experience was a major hurdle. Managing asset transfers, wallet interactions, and logic validation across different chains introduced architectural and UX challenges.
Solution: We implemented modular cross-chain logic using standard token protocols and abstracted complex operations behind a clean UI, ensuring a smooth experience for the user.
Ensuring Prediction Integrity
A key challenge was safeguarding against manipulation, fake accounts, and sybil attacks in a trustless environment.
Solution: We added a reputation mechanism and staked participation model to ensure that users had skin in the game. We also incorporated lightweight identity signals to prevent abuse without compromising privacy.
Simplifying Onboarding for Non-Web3 Users
Many users unfamiliar with blockchain tools found wallet setups and bridging intimidating.
Solution: We integrated a social login and single-wallet onboarding system to lower the entry barrier and minimize user drop-off.
Real-Time Outcome Verification
Accurate and timely resolution of prediction markets—especially for real-world events—was a challenge, due to reliance on oracles and external data feeds.
Solution: We used trusted oracle services and created fallback mechanisms for community-based dispute resolution when data was unclear or delayed.
Time Constraints at the Hackathon
Building a working cross-chain MVP within 48 hours was extremely ambitious.
Solution: We prioritized core functionalities—prediction creation, staking, and resolution—and focused on a clean demo flow with partial backend integration for less critical features.
