The real problem that this project is aiming to solve is the need for foreigners to donate to projects, but many do not have the ability or desire to use bank transfers to another country.
As well as transparency and accountability:
Traditional charitable giving often lacks transparency, making it difficult for donors to track where their contributions are allocated. PrayForUA leverages blockchain technology to provide an immutable and transparent ledger of all transactions, ensuring that every donation is traceable and accountable. Donors can verify the impact of their contributions, building trust and fostering a sense of transparency within the charitable sector.
I was the only developer on the team, so I had to wear many hats. This meant that I was responsible for everything from the project's design and architecture to the implementation and testing. It was a lot of work, and there were times when I felt overwhelmed.
I was using a new language cadence for the first time. This meant that I had to learn a new syntax and semantics, which took some time. I also had to make sure that my code was compatible with the Flow blockchain's specific requirements.
It was fun, anyways
