Our college has multiple student chapters that appoint core members every year for management and administration. To ensure that the committees are run properly and provide value to the student community, it is important that the core members are chosen fairly. Usually this is done in an opaque manner among final year students which reduces the integrity of their decision. Our dapp, Poll Dapp, will help us conduct transparent elections for these committees. Transparency in these procedures instill greater trust among the community.
Our journey with blockchain technology started in this hackathon itself, hence it was initially difficult to understand the various terminologies associated with this technology. We spent a lot of time reading and researching about Polygon, Tezos and the Ethereum ecosystem. We also faced some challenges in setting up our development and testing environments.
