The problem Policy Clarity solves

Health care policies are often complex, confusing, and full of jargon. This makes it hard for people to understand what their policies cover, how much they cost, and how they compare to other options. As a result, people may end up choosing the wrong policy, paying more than they need to, or missing out on important benefits. Policy Clarity solves this problem by simplifying health care policies in plain language and highlighting the key features and benefits. It helps people learn, compare, and choose the best health care plan for their needs and budget.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered some difficulties in building a model using Hugging Face, and we struggled in handling data type changes when sending PDFs from Node to FastAPI. Hosting the FastAPI backend also posed challenges that the team had to spend a lot of time working on.
