The problem Planet Care solves

Challenges we ran into

One of the primary challenges we encountered during the development of Planet Care was the integration of the OpenAI API. While it offered valuable capabilities, such as natural language processing and generation, it posed a hurdle as it required a premium subscription that none of our team members had access to. This limitation prompted us to explore alternative solutions. Thus after a lot of searching, we finally found an API which works similar to the OpenAI API and integrated it in our webapp. Another significant challenge we faced during the development of Planet Care was the implementation of the badge system to reward users for reaching tree-planting milestones. While this feature was essential for motivating users to engage in reforestation efforts, it presented a complex technical challenge. We had to devise a secure and reliable method for tracking and verifying user achievements, all while considering data privacy concerns.
