We have made a website for students to connect across college with the seniors regarding guidance for internship and placement oppurtunities . Our site will allow seniors to add profile card of themselves which will contain all information which will include their name, email, contact-number, hometown, their github and linkedin profile links, their method of preparation for interns /placements/oppurtunities. These cards will get added in our view page whenever seniors will feed their data in form provided in add profile page using backend. We can also sort the cards of seniors on the basis of companies or their graduation year. The following are the benefits:
• These cards will help juniors which don’t interact much with their seniors and like to keep themselves. The students preparing for interviews for their placements or interns can contact the seniors regarding some tips.
• The second benefit of our cards would be that whosoever is joining IIITA can see their seniors of the same hometown which would benefit them further.
• The website will also have good resources (which our experienced seniors have already used ) linked in them.
• There will also be and event and opportunities calendar where all technical events and opportunities related to those will be displayed for the users. This would help user to plan their preparation and keep track of all events in upcoming months.
Integrating the front end and back end was a challenge for us due to inexperience and shortage of time. Also, we tried to implement sorting and filtering functions for the placement data page.
