The problem Pixie solves
- To create a decentralized music streaming service that is not controlled by any one entity and makes publishing and distributing music more transparent.
- To create a service where fans can bet on their favourite artists and support them.
- To provide artists tools to directly interact and reward their fans for their patronage in the form of airdrops.
- To create a music streaming service that is more secure and resistant to censorship.
Challenges we ran into
We are still new to web3, so working with Solidity and Hardhat was a little bit of a challenge for us.
Making some hard choices on how to approach a method to implement regarding the decentralised part.
Making the platform platform credible enough that the user would want to shift to a decentralised music platform from the existing centralised platform.
