The problem Ping solves
Flow is a user centric platform and communication is critical for user adoption.
Ping extends the flow ecosystem by introducing a native communication layer that enables Instant Messaging & Push notification functionalities on Flow.
It can be easily integrated in other apps for instant messages, realtime updates from an application, wallet-to-wallet communication, social networks, in-message payments (Gpay, Wechat), social networks etc.
Challenges I ran into
Although there was relevant documentation, I felt like it was scattered across multiple locations.
But I had a very good experience with Flow Playground. It really made it very easy to build the contracts and transactions and test them out and demo them very easily.
I'm full time working professional, and I hacked this project last weekend (over a span of 2 days). It was only possible because of the Flow Playground. Great job on that!!
