The problem Phantom News solves

There has been major research going on reducing the spread of fake news and rumors. Since Artificial Intelligence has evolved, many Deep Learning techniques are applied to solve this problem. But, till now, we don't have a proper reliable solution. When I came to know about Blockchain and its transparency, I thought that the spreading of fake news and rumors can be reduced drastically. Since the news which one enters is being validated by a network of people, and every transaction is being monitored, people have very fewer chances of spreading false news.

Challenges we ran into

We are a team of 2 members, who are noobs in the field of Blockchain. Since we didn't know any concepts of Blockchain, we weren't able to think of any idea regarding this. So, we spent our time learning the concepts and implementing small programs.
This idea struck me around 6:30 am on August 4th. Only then, we started building our project, and it's still not in the working stage. We wish we could have used many tools for improving our idea, but this constraint prevented us from doing so
