The problem PG Hunt solves

PG Hunt is an all-in-one website to help students find new rental homes around their college. It gets really difficult to get hostel rooms which are often limited, hence students have to roam around the locality, finding PG accommodations here and there, eventually wasting a lot of time and being unable to find homes 'of their preference'. At PG Hunt, they can quickly create an account, 'use a variety of filters' to choose from a 'vast number of rental homes' and pay the PG owner via our website's payment gateway.

On the other hand, our website also provides facilities for PG/mess owners to advertise thier rental homes and accommodations at PG Hunt. They just have to create a free account, upload the details of their rental home and submit. They can also update their services anytime later. All the PG homes advertised at our website, are available to the students to choose from.

Challenges we ran into

• We were facing a lot of issues while working with the database of PG owners. We decided to use SheetDB(https://sheetdb.io/) for that.
• Making the website (each webpage) completely responsive was really hectic. We had to spend quite an amount of time in that.
• We were really worried about the payment gateway. We finally used Razorpay for that and made some changes in the index page.
