The problem PetConnect solves

Many stray animals lack proper care and homes, while potential adopters struggle to find pets in their area. Meanwhile, temporary housing for pets is often needed but difficult to arrange. PetConnect aims to address these issues by connecting local communities to facilitate pet adoption and fostering.

Challenges we ran into

• Issues with Next.js 14 app router - we decided to use the nextjs app router for the project and had to face a lot of bugs while trying to add older libraries in the app.

• There were several bugs while trying to create the backend and building the feature for filtering posts based on user location.

• We also faced a lot of challenges making file upload work for the app.
