By implementing real-time stock detection, AI-powered demand forecasting, and intelligent menu optimization, the system ensures minimal food wastage and better resource utilization in restaurant kitchens.
Challenges we ran into
During the development of Pet Pooja, several challenges were encountered, including:
- Accurate Object Detection: Implementing reliable computer vision models like TensorFlow/YOLO and OpenCV for identifying ingredients.
- Data Processing Complexity: Managing structured and unstructured data efficiently using databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Demand Prediction Accuracy: Fine-tuning AI models such as ARIMA, Prophet, and LSTM for precise sales and waste forecasting.
- Integration of AI Models: Ensuring seamless integration of machine learning frameworks with backend systems using FastAPI and Node.js.
- Scalability Concerns: Designing a solution that can scale across multiple restaurant branches while maintaining performance and efficiency.
