The problem Peerbud solves
It minimises the intensive bureaucratic process done by institutes for reviewing research papers by bringing the whole process on a platform where people who cannot afford to spend the time and resources can give their project for peer reviews . Our platform collaborates with reputed institutes (IIT/IIM) to give these prestigious peer review certifications. Also , private research societies can sign up for our program to review papers and gain credibility.
If the research paper has a positive peer review, they can publish their paper on our platform as well.
Challenges we ran into
We tried to implement blockchain for minting the research papers on the blockchain but had to scrape that idea.
There was a lot of technical challenges in implementing mongoDB into our backend.
Our initial goal was to find a way to decentralise this whole process and remove the monopoly these institutes have on the peer review industry, but due to their immutable reputation it was not a feasible idea.
