1. High Cases of Scam: Fans Struggle to Verify Celebrity Identities
   One of the biggest challenges fans face today in their interactions with celebrities is the risk of scams and impersonations. On traditional social media platforms, it can be difficult for fans to verify whether they are truly engaging with the celebrity themselves or with imposters pretending to be them. This often leads to fans being misled, paying for fake interactions, or falling victim to fraud.

By integrating Worldcoin, the platform ensures that celebrities’ identities are securely authenticated on-chain, and fans can trust that they are engaging with the real person. This addresses the scam problem by offering transparency and verification without sacrificing privacy.

2. Lack of Monetizable Engagement: Celebrities Lack a Direct, Monetizable Channel for Fan Interactions
   Celebrities currently have limited options when it comes to monetizing direct fan interactions. Platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok allow for communication with fans, but these interactions are generally non-monetized and are often overwhelmed with spam or superficial engagements. Some platforms, like Cameo, offer monetizable engagement, but these are usually one-time transactions (e.g., a personalized video), which lack ongoing, direct interaction between the celebrity and the fan.

Our solution solves this by providing a direct, continuous monetizable channel for real-time interactions. Using smart contracts and cryptocurrency payments, fans can pay for personalized, exclusive chats with celebrities. Celebrities are incentivized to engage more frequently because they are rewarded in real time for each interaction. Unlike traditional platforms where monetization often goes through intermediaries (e.g., advertising or sponsorships), this approach allows celebrities to directly earn from their fanbase, creating a new stream of income that is immediate, transparent, and scalable.

Challenges we ran into

During development, we faced a challenge with scalability and gas fees while integrating Scroll, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution using zk-rollups. Given the expected high volume of interactions between users and celebrities, maintaining low gas fees without compromising transaction speed was critical to providing a seamless experience. We optimized the platform by leveraging Scroll’s zk-rollup technology, which batches transactions off-chain before committing them to the Ethereum mainnet, reducing the load and gas fees significantly.
