The problem PawSome solves

Abandoning of pets is a very serious problem in India, there are more than 80 million homeless dogs and cats which is the highest in the world. This problem increased further during the time of lockdown, when reportedly 50% of the pet owners abandoned their pets.

Our app eases the adoption process of a pet, as a person interested in buying a pet after going through different profiles, can contact the shelter homes to know more about them and the they can Finally adopt them. People from all parts of India can adopt a pet from a variety of option available just by sitting at their home.

Challenges we ran into

It was very hard to implement a reactive UI for the users. We used frameworks and languages that were new to us, so it made our work more challenging as well as it was a great learning experience at the same time. We also faced some issues while connecting our backend with our frontend, but we tackled it by going through several documentations and tutorials
