We at pARTon Inc work together with Fine Arts Club IITR to change the world one brushstroke at a time. Our aim is to raise fund by selling the art pieces and use it to make a positive change.

The problem pARTon solves

Our project uses the money it makes from selling the artwork to raise money for charitable causes. For instance, it supports organisations at IIT Roorkee like GATI,IITR Cares, a group that works to advance the welfare of animals. Since our project offers a website for Fine Arts that wasn't previously available, it fits in wonderfully. This website would assist collect money for a worthy cause in addition to the festival that Fine Arts puts on, making it simple and effective for everyone.

Challenges we ran into

Problem Statement :

We have designed a website for the fine arts club IITR which has immense talent and beautiful artworks which neither get much opportunity to get showcased nor does it gets on sale, hence they just stack-up and
collect dust in the section.

  • Hence, we made a e-commerce type website where our main idea is to showcase and sell the
brilliant artpieces and artworks and also to collect contributions from patrons.
  • Further we intend to use the money
for good cause such as giving it to small committies such as IITR Cares and AROHI under the GATI Movement.

DESIGN DECISIONS :

  • Firstly, we chose our logo to be derived from the word "PATRON", which means 'a person who supports financially' , and
in it we interchanged the positions of T and R ,and used U-shaped pencils to depict the interchange, to form ART in between, hence we get
    the word PARTON!
  • In the home page we used changing text animation to convey our tagline. We have made the whole website on few variations of violet and
greenish colour to keep it simplistic. We have used animal care and child care logos to depict our moto.
  • We've tried to keep pages like events and about us a bit aesthetic, and the shopping section simple to ease out customers in buying their desired
    paintings without and problems.
