Our application proposes a solution that targets

Goal 11 - Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

The app tackles the problem of less open space by using the space on the buildings as planting areas, and giving sense to the phrase, “concrete jungle”

Goal 13 - Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

Through the development of such apps, we can combat climate change through the development of sustainable residences.

Challenges we ran into

We failed to do proper planning. The toolbox we relied on for the proper working of the backend, i.e. mmsegmentation turned out to be outdated and chinese and did not have a full proof method of installing on windows (there's only a beta version available that didn't run on our laptops). We planned on using HRNet which is compatible with mmsegmentation. We tried our best but failed to find a proper replacement for the toolkit in such a short span. Thus we couldn't get our backend to do proper processing. Regarless, we learned a lesson and will partipate next year with higher determination and stronger planning and research.
