Why are you participating for Based Africa?

We are participating in the Based Africa Buidathon because we believe in the potential of African artists and the transformative power of blockchain technology. As a team, we recognize the unique opportunities that exist onchain, and we aim to leverage these opportunities to positively impact the African art community

What challenges are you focusing on?

We are focusing on fostering collaboration between artists in the digital space. This includes local and foreign artists. it also includes artists and thrid-party entities like animation studios.

How does your submission address this challenge?

Our dApp directly benefits local artists by providing them with a platform to collaborate, mint NFTs, and earn a fair share of the profits when their work is sold. It offers a transparent and secure way for artists to showcase their creativity, without relying on traditional intermediaries

Challenges we ran into

We had to build an intuitive UI for easy collaboration and a smooth user experience: We solved this by working with ui-modals and dynamic textboxes so that users could easily work with our forms

There were technical challenges when it came to reducing the cost of gas for smart contract operations: Solved this by using ERC-1155 token standard instead of ERC-721.

Challenges included time constraints: We prioritized key features that mattered most to the problem that we are solving
