I'm participating in Based India to push the limits of innovation and build solutions that matter. This hackathon is a great opportunity to collaborate with like-minded builders, solve real-world problems, and create something truly impactful. Plus, the energy at Based India is unmatched—perfect for turning bold ideas into reality!
I'm focusing on challenges that combine privacy, decentralization, and seamless user experience. Specifically, I'm looking to tackle issues around secure data sharing, scalable smart contracts, and enhancing blockchain-based applications. The goal is to create solutions that are practical, user-friendly, and aligned with the principles of Web3.
OwnSound addresses the challenge of privacy, ownership, and monetization in the music industry by leveraging blockchain technology and advanced cryptography. By using AES encryption and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) on EDU Chain, OwnSound ensures that both artists and listeners maintain full control over their content and data. The platform's decentralized infrastructure allows creators to securely distribute their music, set royalties, and benefit from transparent revenue-sharing models, while users can enjoy private playlists, rent or trade Non-Fungible Sounds (NFS), and support artists directly without intermediaries.
One of the key challenges we ran into was the limitation of FHEVM, which only allows the use of bytes32 values rather than strings. To overcome this, we implemented AES encryption to securely encrypt the music data and convert it into a bytes32 format, ensuring compatibility while maintaining privacy. This approach allowed us to leverage the privacy benefits of FHEVM while securely handling more complex data structures like music files and metadata.
Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
