The problem 'Connect Cause' solves

Despite everyone's desire to contribute towards the betterment of society they don’t often know how to do it. Due to lack of proper platforms people are not able to effectively contribute towards any noble cause. Thereby many contributions which can bring a positive change in society are lost to lack of proper development of some kind of infrastructure which brings an ease to donate.

To address the above mentioned problem statement, we need to develop a proper infrastructure for bringing about ease of donation. Our idea is to create a social media platform to bridge the gap between the willing donors and NGOs. Through the social media platform a user can notify the relevant NGOs what he/she wants to donate. The NGOs in turn can also notify the individuals of any events or campaigns which they will be organizing to attract volunteers.
Creating a social media community with individuals and NGOs will enhance the coordination among various NGOs to collaborate on events.

Donations are a great way to promote and motivate reusabliltiy. Using our app donors can doante clothes, food, books and other stuff to the needy thereby empowering the needy and reducing wastage. Both these factors play a major role in development of a region in a suistainable manner

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges faced by us was how to verify genuinienty of any NGO. We looked for APIs which provide us with the data of registered NGOs along with some unique number but were unable to find one. To overcome this shortcoming we now use the NGO Darpan app- an official website of the government to track NGOs. The user is provided with the link of the website and the unique no. of the NGO using which he/ she can verify the NGO.

Another hurdle was to ensure the transaparerncy between the working of the NGO and the donor. We brainstormed a way to tackle the above the problem. In our app the post which user makes has an onComplete check which only checks yes, when the NGO provides the data of the various donations made regarding that post, which is automatically send to the emails of the donors This ensures that the donors have a track of the donations and works of the NGO
