The problem OpenSource DAO solves
The reward mechanism in an OpenSource projects is difficult as there is no way to manage funds, donations or any major decisions democratically. Some opensource project funds are managed by old contributor/s(in some case only one person all ther funds) and there is no way to know how to reward the contributors as each contribution efforts varies and there is no baseline available to gauge an open-source contribution effort. OpenSource DAO tries to solve the problem by bringing all the contributors inside a DAO where they could approve on the decision democratically. Contributor join a project If they hold a specific type of NFT(ERC1155). After that they could propose any idea and what should happen if more than 50% people are "FOR" the idea. If it gets more no. of votes(>50%) then the code is automatically gets executed.
Challenges I ran into
Minting NFTs within browser was getting tough for me then I came to know about a wonderful library called thirdweb. It enabled me to manage blockchain transaction seamlessly within the browser.
