The problem OpenResearch solves

NOTE - The front-end for Home page and Application page were created before the hackathon commenced but everything else like server-side infrastructure, IPFS integration, Functionality of the front-end, smart-contract, deployment, etc. was created during the hackathon.

BRIEF - Open Research is a decentralised platform built on Ethereum that facilitates sharing of research proposals and data in the scientific community. It utilises InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for secure storage and sharing of research data across multiple nodes, making it resistant to tampering. The platform offers a reliable and secure alternative to traditional methods of data sharing and provides transparency in the process.

In traditional data sharing methods, researchers often face the risk of their research data being compromised or tampered with, leading to significant damage to their reputation and work. Challenges I ran into

Integrating IPFS with the front-end using web3.storage was a tricky part since there were many packages conflicting with each other because of different versions.
