An Onchain NFT marketplace on Base using no-code development tools
The problem Nocode Onchain NFT Marketplace solves
An onchain educational course for U.S. Builders on Digital Asset Taxation and Entity Formation. How to pay Aunt IRiS and Uncle Sam as close to zero as possible and how to avoid costly mistakes.
Challenges I ran into
As non-developers, we set out to utilize no-code tools to build an NFT marketplace on Base, similar to OpenSea, and use the NFTs to gate content in our LMS. However, we encountered issues with the LMS gating part and are currently working through them.
We began by building a basic NFT Marketplace using Webflow (Front End), Xano (Backend & API), Pinata Cloud (Storage and IPFS), and Tatum (API) for wallets and NFTs stored on Base.
Our first step was to enable the capability to upload/pin an image to an onchain IPFS server using the APIs from Pinata.Cloud. Our first test content can be found here:

Next, we created a Base Wallet with a public address and private key. Using Tatum, we deployed an NFT Contract and minted an NFT on Base: Transaction Link.
Once the NFT marketplace and smart contracts were operational, we built an LMS site using Webflow and Xano and began integrating Privy.io for user management. After implementing Privy.io with Webflow, we faced security issues and switched to using CodeSandbox.io for implementation. This required us to learn React and JavaScript. We paused development to start a front-end coding course using Scrimba, and we are currently implementing it on a local network.
In the meantime, we've written a book and recorded six hours of content on transitioning from a hackathon to forming an entity and planning for digital asset taxation within the US. This material is currently undergoing editing and review.
