Ohayo — Match, Mint, and Master the Tiles!
The problem Ohayo Classic Game solves
Ohayo addresses the growing demand for casual, rewarding, and onchain-enabled games that blend nostalgia with modern design. While classic puzzle games like Onet are simple and fun, they often lack social interaction, personalization, and meaningful progression. On the other hand, many Web3 games tend to focus too much on tokenomics and complexity, making them less approachable.
Ohayo offers a better balance by:
-
Reimagining a classic: It brings the beloved Onet Classic gameplay into the modern web with smoother UI, responsive controls, and a familiar, satisfying game loop. (Now live: core matching logic, levels, and leaderboard).
-
Introducing playful Web3 elements: Planned features include NFT-based tile avatars, burn-to-earn reward tokens, and light wallet integration — allowing users to experience blockchain in a fun and approachable way. (Coming soon)
-
Fostering daily engagement: Features like leaderboards, achievements, and visual collectibles will keep players coming back for more. (In development)
-
Rewarding participation with ownership: In the near future, players will be able to collect, trade, or burn tile avatars for tokens, creating a meaningful sense of value and progression.
In short, Ohayo combines the simplicity of casual gaming with the creativity of Web3! Delivering a nostalgic experience that’s not only fun but also evolving toward meaningful rewards and ownership.
Challenges I ran into
Using Ohara was both exciting and challenging. At times, I encountered issues like blank screens without clear error messages and an AI assistant that didn’t always provide accurate fixes. These hurdles pushed me to learn and debug more deeply, which was valuable. To improve the experience, I suggest adding real-time error feedback, clearer AI change tracking, and lightweight versioning to help builders experiment more confidently. Overall, Ohara has been incredibly helpful, and I’m grateful for the platform—it empowered me to build Ohayo faster than ever.
