Octant Mini

Earn yield. Fund your ecosystem.

The problem Octant Mini solves

The Problem We’re Solving

Right now, most DAOs and ecosystems have a treasury that just sits there.
Funds are locked, unused, or manually distributed through long proposals and endless governance calls.

That model is slow, risky, and kills momentum.
Teams waste time debating how to spend instead of building.

Octant Mini flips the script. It helps ecosystems earn and distribute yield automatically without touching the main funds.
So communities stop waiting for the next grant round or vote and start growing continuously.

What People Can Use It For

Octant Mini is for anyone managing funds — DAOs, small ecosystems, public goods projects, or local builder collectives.

You can use it to:

  • Turn your idle treasury into something that actually works for you.

  • Earn up to 5% APY on deposited assets through simulated DeFi yield

  • Automate funding for grants, builders, or community projects

  • Simulate payouts before committing funds

  • Keep everything transparent with a live dashboard that shows exactly where yield flows

  • Manage all this without writing a single line of code

It’s your ecosystem’s funding autopilot. Safe, simple, and built for people who care about growth, not just numbers.

Challenges we ran into

Developer Notes & Setup Challenges
During the initial setup and testing phase, I encountered a few challenges:

  1. Yield Calculation Complexity

Accurately computing yield amounts and verifying donation ratios was difficult due to rounding discrepancies and unclear reference points in the documentation.

The yield flow between the strategy and router required manual validation using report() outputs.

  1. Token Address Configuration (Sepolia Testnet)

Setting up token addresses for Sepolia required multiple iterations, as Aave documentation and Octant examples were somewhat indirect or outdated.

I had to deploy and use demo ERC-20 tokens to simulate USDC deposits for strategy testing.

  1. Documentation Gaps
The available documentation for integrating the Aave strategy within the Octant Mini context was slightly indirect, requiring inference
