The problem Oasis solves

The interface is accessible and easy to navigate, ensuring that survivors can report their experiences comfortably. The Legal Policies page would require users to explicitly agree that the information they provide is true and accurate resulting in reduced false reports. Blockchain is to store personal and complaint information which makes the data 100% secure. It prevents tampering, safeguarding sensitive details with encryption and access controls. The victim will be kept informed on the actions being taken by the government officals regarding their case.

Challenges I ran into

Hackathons have always been exciting for me. Over the years, I’ve built and launched projects with incredible teams and even won a handful of prizes. But the one common thing was—I always had a team. We divided the work, with someone handling design, others the front-end and back-end. This time, Unfold Hackathon 2024 presented a new challenge for me. My solo application got selected, and I had to build the entire project alone.

When I started, I was both excited and nervous. This was uncharted territory for me. Designing and coding the front-end went along smoothly but integrating the Solana smart contract into my project was overwhelming. There were times I felt completely stuck, especially in the middle of the night (like now, at 3:28 AM). But this time, I accepted that it was just me, facing every challenge head-on.

Despite the struggles, I kept going. Every small success, like fixing a bug or seeing the front-end work perfectly with the back-end, made all the effort worth it. It wasn’t just about coding—it was about pushing myself. I learned so much, not only about web3 technology but also about my own strengths and limits.

Whether I win a prize or not, this experience has been amazing. Staying up all night, figuring things out on my own, and building this project from scratch taught me more than I could have imagined. Unfold Hackathon 2024 showed me that it’s not just about the result—it’s about how far you’re willing to go to make your idea a reality.

This solo journey wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it.
