NYC METRO
For Inter-City Commute
The problem NYC METRO solves
This solution revolutionizes access to the NYC metro system by eliminating the need for physical Metrocards. It simplifies daily commuting and occasional travel by allowing users to purchase and access tickets digitally, enhancing convenience and safety. Users can :
- Avoid long lines and the hassle of maintaining physical cards.
- Access the metro seamlessly with QR codes or contactless NFC.
- Enjoy a cleaner, touch-free interaction with the system, reducing exposure to germs.
- Manage tickets, passes, and payments through a centralized, intuitive platform, saving time and effort.
By streamlining the metro experience, the system benefits both daily commuters and visitors, providing a fast, efficient, and modern way to travel.
Challenges we ran into
- Working with Plugins :
As this was our first time integrating plugins into the design workflow, we faced difficulties in identifying and utilizing the right ones for interactivity, animations, and responsiveness. To overcome this, we dedicated time to researching, experimenting, and iterating until we achieved the desired outcomes.
- Handling Scroll Behaviours :
Implementing smooth scrolling for long pages, such as the metro map and ticket history, was more challenging than anticipated. Ensuring it worked seamlessly across different devices required extensive testing and debugging. We resolved this by consulting documentation, using Figma scroll prototypes, and conducting thorough QA testing.
