The problem Nutscope solves

NUTSCOPE makes crypto options easier to understand and safer to explore, especially for beginners. Instead of searching through complicated options data, users can discover live Thetanuts opportunities, understand the risks and potential payoff, and practise trades using virtual funds.

It provides a simple journey from discovering an option → analyzing it → practising with paper trading → making a real trade when ready.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was working with live Thetanuts data, as RPC/API availability could sometimes cause orders or market data to fail to load. We handled this by improving error handling, adding timeouts and fallbacks, and making sure the app does not replace unavailable live data with fake data.

Another challenge was making sure the options calculations were accurate, especially for break-even, maximum loss, payoff scenarios, and multi-leg strategies. We verified the formulas with test cases and reused the same calculation logic across the application.

We also faced challenges with wallet connection and real trade execution. To make trading safer, we added pre-flight checks for the wallet network, order availability, expiry, amount, and trade preview before allowing execution.
