The primary concept behind the hackathon project is to develop a comprehensive virtual lab environment for training students in cloud forensics using AWS, focusing on realistic scenarios like unauthorized access, data breaches, and incident response. This lab aims to equip practical skills to detect, investigate, and respond to cloud-based security incidents by leveraging AWS-native tools for evidence collection, monitoring, and automated threat mitigation, thus preparing them for the challenges of evolving cyber threats in cloud environments.
