The problem NoMEV solves
MEV in today's era of blockchain has become a headache of an hour. Countless research proposals & implementations have been made but none has worked out completely. It is still very possible to sandwich an innocent user's transaction and make profit out of it.
NoMEV is an innovative solution to this problem in the case that it uses Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning models like Graph Neural Networks to tackle MEV & classify it. The model was trained on data of 15000 blocks on the Stellar Chain & is fairly accurate than any exisiting method to track MEV!
In the growth era of Stellar, NoMEV aims to serve as a backbone infra tool for users as well as DeFi protocols for better dashboards regarding state of MEV on the chain.
Challenges I ran into
Challenge was to index the block data from the chain, it took quite a time. Choosing appropriate layers for the model also was a tricky part.
Writing contracts in soroban was fairly new for me.
