A website for electronics manufacturing company that alienates trouble for consumers to know the products and decide the best for their requirement.

The problem NICOLA ELECTRONICS solves

Today, in the age of digital communication, building a good website and maintaining an online presence is necessary for almost every kind of business to survive and expand.
At the same time, people are becoming more selective about the time they spend online. With the average adult spending almost 6 hours per day on digital media(source: Google), people are becoming wary of the internet's impact on their lives. To expand the business, companies compete for users who want to curb their time online.This means businesses must incorporate website features users want without sacrificing functionality.

Considering this, our team brainstormed on a survey according to which-

  1. One-third of people (33%) only spend 1-3 hours online for leisure every day.
  2. Almost everyone (94%) says easy navigation is the most important website feature.
  3. Most people (83%) appreciate when a website looks attractive and up-to-date.
  4. Half of website users (50%) will leave a website permanently if the content is irrelevant.
  5. People value product descriptions and visuals equally. Nearly all (91%) find both features useful.
  6. Two-thirds of people (67%) think websites with links to the company’s social media account are extremely or somewhat useful.
  7. Half of people (50%) think company blogs are useful.

Taking the above points into consideration our team has decided to build a website for a hypothetical Electronics company that could keep up to the expectations of the user as well as fulfilling all the functionalities that an electronics company should have on their website.

While building the website our main focus is on the following things -
-Great User Journey.
-Providing the users with all information they may need.
-Keeping the website content relevant.
-Creating a connection with users while they explore the website.
-Presenting the website in an attractive way.
-Taking feedback from the users about products and their website experience so that it will help to improve.

Challenges we ran into

  1. One of the biggest challenges we ran into is to keep the website relevant and as well as attractive without comprising any features and functionalities.

  2. We have focused more on the user website journey but while doing this there were a few things that were left behind like giving the best structure to the website without making it annoying for the user. In order to deal with these issues we brainstormed through meets and online groups and eventually came to the least compromising solutions.

  3. We had to make sure that the users could connect to us through our website. That was quite a challenge but we made strategies to tackle this through UI, user psychology and also decided to have a subscription option for the user so that we can send regular emails and notifications about blogs and events.
