Challenges we ran into

The challenges encountered while working on this project reflect both technical and legal hurdles, as well as market competition. Here’s a breakdown of the issues and how they were approached:

1. Blockchain Deployment and Connectivity:

   • The project aimed to deploy on multiple blockchains and interconnect them using Wormhole, which could potentially enhance the platform’s accessibility and interoperability. However, due to time constraints, the focus was narrowed down to deploying on the Avalanche blockchain alone. This limitation might have affected the platform's envisioned inter-blockchain functionality, but Avalanche was chosen perhaps due to its capabilities or compatibility with the project requirements.

2. Copyright Issues:

   • A significant concern was the copyright legality surrounding the use of cricket moments in the NFT marketplace. To navigate this, the project adopted a strategy of using short snippets of video, likely to fall under fair use, and applying overlays to possibly alter the original content and avoid direct copyright infringement. This approach attempts to balance between offering valuable content and staying within legal boundaries.

3. Market Competition:

   • The NFT marketplace is becoming increasingly competitive, especially with sports-based NFTs gaining popularity. To carve a niche, the project aims to create real-life value with the NFT cards by offering different perks. This is planned to be achieved through collaborations with various organizations, which could provide a unique selling proposition, enhancing the marketplace's attractiveness to potential buyers and cricket enthusiasts.
