The problem Never Cheat solves
"Never Cheat" is an AI-powered online examination platform designed to ensure fair and secure assessments. Using real-time camera-based cheating detection, the platform monitors test-takers and flags suspicious activities, preventing any unfair means during exams.
Challenges we ran into
Face detection struggled with varied lighting, causing inconsistent proctoring. We tackled this by:
- Dynamically adjusting camera feed parameters for brightness and contrast.
- Implementing a user-facing lighting check during setup, providing clear guidance.
- Establishing a fallback system for human review when AI detection confidence dipped. This multi-layered solution significantly improved reliability, ensuring fair exams despite diverse user environments.
We also tested extensively across various lighting conditions, refining algorithms to minimize false negatives and positives. This iterative approach resulted in a more robust and dependable examination experience."
