The problem Neural-Aid solves

The application serves as a platform to keep Alzheimer’s patients mentally occupied and aids their treatment process. This user-friendly platform is of immense help to the caretakers as well. The main features of the application are:

1. News:To provide summarized news snippets to the patients
2. My Circle: Constantly reminding patients of their loved ones by showing their images and relation.
   3)Identify: The face recognition algorithm which identifies poeple in their circle using the webcam
   4)Games:Innovative memory games to keep patient's mind sharp.
3. Entertainment:Customized video playlist to listen to your favourite songs.
   6)Reminders: Add daily/weekly reminders to never miss any important event.

Challenges we ran into

There were bugs in the face recognition system which was fixed using local Storage of the chrome developer tools.
The reminders feature of our app did not work in the deploeyd application. This was due to a difference in timezone of heroku servers.This was fixed by updating the timezone to match ours.
There are some Mongo Session errors in the deployed version of the application but due to lack of time it has not been fixed completely.
