Need for Blood
Our project is an innovative approach to address global health. We provide immediate access to blood donors all over India who are ready to help save lives any time and at any place to needed peoples
The problem Need for Blood solves
Availability of blood for medical emergencies is a major issue in our society. These days we get denied to blood until we get donors. Medical emergencies have become heavily dependent on replacement blood donations which are not only unsafe but also a way of exploiting patients and their families. People with myeloma, a blood related cancer need to transform their blood every three months, sometimes every 10 days. Every hospital/blood bank will deny to provide blood until we get donors in return. Even during emergencies they deny providing blood and make people find one themselves to maintain their blood stock. While some hospitals give blood without insisting on replacement for the first few transfusions, eventually start asking them to bring donors for the successive ones. People will get exhausted in this search for donors.
Requirement of blood donors and reason is that India has roughly 900 blood banks controlled by the government, 362 run by NGOs, 684 associated with private hospitals, and 500 owned by private charity organisations. Until recently, most private or hospital-owned blood banks were not permitted to organise blood donation camps; and the path of procuring the licence to organise was stringent and murky. So, considering that less than five percent of the population willingly walks into a blood bank to donate annually or bi-annually, blood banks had little access to voluntarily donated blood.
We provide immediate access to blood donors all over India, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! We provide a network of donors who respond to emergency situations in an efficient manner. The ultimate goal of this project is to provide an easy-to-use, easy-to-access, efficient and reliable way to get life-saving blood, free of cost. Our project works to connect blood donors and recipients through a system which can be accessed on any device. We provide blood donors who are ready to help save lives any time and at any place to people who are desperately inneedofit
Challenges we ran into
Based on our project moto most of the functioanlity are related to maps and live-location . So the main challage we faced is a data for our project we need a donnors daset for represting thire locaion on the map along with thire lat and log but we do get the dataset but wihtout the log and lat so how we solved issue is that we wrote a alog with creates a lat and log for thsese users within the selected range of location by this we are able to get the data points to represnt on the map screen .
Usually we will display a circle arround the user location to represent the affected area . So to draw a circle on webpage its require dimensions in pixels but the actuall dimention of the map is diffrent . so we solved this issue by using the lat, long, and zoom level value and we got an equation through that equation we made the size of the circle responsive
